Job Title:                     Facility and Grounds Coordinator

 

Reports To:                 UPNA Board of Management

Direct Reports:           Facility Cleaner, Lawn Maintenance Team

​

Position Type:             Voluntary

 

Appointed by:             UPNA Board of Management

​

Term of Role:              12 month initially, further 12 months by Board renewal approval

 

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • To liaise and link with all Operational Roles and the Board to ensure the Facility is well maintained

  • Coordinate with and oversee the activities of both the Facility Cleaner and Lawn Maintenance Team

  • Oversee the management of equipment and ensure it is fit for purpose.

  • Oversee the grounds maintenance is being completed (e.g., lawns mowed, and grass court is  painted / marked) and cleaning is being completed.

  • Oversee that any servicing of equipment is arranged and completed (e.g., mower, BBQ, compressors, fridge, ovens) and are in good condition.

  • Ensure Gas Bottles are full and in good / safe condition

  • Perform risk assessments and complete pre-game facility and court inspections

  • Ensure extinguishers, smoke alarms and electrical devices are maintained/serviced

  • Ensure electrical units are “Test and Tagged” for safety compliance

  • Organise the maintenance of facility or equipment as required

  • In consultation with the Admin Officer, coordinate services (e.g. handymen, plumbers, electricians, locksmiths)

  • Inspect Light Room, External Storage, Canteen, Rep Shed and Office to ensure free from clutter and well organised and maintained. Provide feedback to Operational Role holders where tidy-ups are required

  • Attend all operational role meetings

  • Provide feedback to the Board as required and directed.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • To manage the general facility and grounds, to ensure all areas are kept clean and safe for members

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Hold a current blue card or be able to obtain.
