Job Title:                     Media Coordinator

 

Reports To:                 UPNA Board of Management

Position Type:             Volunteer

 

Appointed by:             UPNA Board of Management

​

Term of Role:              12 month initially, further 12 month by Board renewal approval

 

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate any press releases issued by the Board and keep proper record of all such release

  • Promote the association as directed by the Board through relevant Social Media platforms

  • Develop relationships with local media personnel and send updates of the association’s activities

  • Develop articles about association and publish them on the association’s website and Facebook

  • Promote upcoming season and sign on for all competitions

  • Seek favourable media coverage of all association’s activities and events

  • Ensure the association’s sponsors receive maximum exposure

  • Create a positive general public awareness of the association

  • Develop a monthly newsletter. Publish on website and send out to all subscribed members

  • Be familiar with UPNA and Netball Queensland’s Calendar of Events

  • Regularly update social media sites on UPNA activities

  • Attend all operational role meetings

  • Complete a monthly written report to feedback to the committee

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Develop a plan/strategy for UPNA exposure

  • Manage communication to members via social media platforms

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Hold a current blue card or be able to obtain.
