Job Title:                     Representative Coaching Coordinator (Head Coach)

Role and Responsibilities

● Coordinate representative Coaching program, fostering the growth and raise the standard of the rep coaches in line with the requirements of UPNA
● Report on any representative coaching issues or opportunities to the Board
● Assist representative coaches whenever possible with coaching advice, mentoring and development
● Advise the Board on coaching requirements for representative teams/squads
● Keep a record of accreditation of representative coaches
● Organise opportunities for new and upcoming rep coaches to become accredited and enhance their qualifications. Liaise with Netball Queensland to establish the upcoming courses being held within the region to meet members needs
● Be familiar with Netball Queensland’s Calendar of Events and the Association Update
● Assist the Rep Coordinator update all relevant forms (nomination, player agreement, media consent, medical consent, uniform order) and assist upload to necessary platforms (if required) for access to members
● In conjunction with the Representative Coordinator and Umpire Convenor (where necessary)
o Assist with the organisation of trials and arrange the selectors for trials and finalise UPNA representative teams, coaches, and other team officials (e.g., assistant coaches, managers, primary carers).
o Advise the minimum number of umpires required
o Arrange bibs, selection sheets and any other requirements for trials
o Finalise trialists lists to be downloaded from Netball Connect
o Advise (and assist if required) the rep coordinator of phase 2 players required after first trial
o Advise (and assist if required) the rep coordinator of unsuccessful phase 1 trialists
o Advice (and assist if required) the rep coordinator of successful players after final selections
o Advise (and assist if required) the rep coordinator of unsuccessful players after final selections
● In conjunction with the Representative Coordinator, approve final selections of all teams to ensure players and final teams selected are deemed able to meet the expectations for competition, commitment, and behaviour.

● Develop a policy manual that includes procedures to track equipment from Purchase order, delivery and payment.
● Organise for purchase of required equipment and kit bags for representative coaches.
● Organise managers packs - including but not limited to first aid packs, trolleys, bibs
● Keep accurate documentation for equipment loaned at the start of the season and reconciliation at the end of the season.
● Always maintain a clean and tidy equipment room. Inspect the equipment room after rep training to ensure all equipment is put away? Notify Coaching Coordinator and Rep Coordinator of any issues to be communicated to teams/coaches
● Organise for repair or replacement of faulty equipment.
● Co-ordinate equipment to be taken to rep carnivals and state age (tents, water containers, water weights etc) and returned after the events in consultation with the Rep Co-Ordinator.
● NetSetGo Equipment to be co-ordinated with the Net-Set-Go Co-Ordinator
● Attend all operational role meetings as requested
● Advise Coaches of their appointments and arrange replacement coaches/players as required.
● Co-ordinate Representative Teams Presentation Function with Rep Convenor to include MVP and Coaches Award trophies for each team and gifts for players, coaches, managers, and primary carers.
● Undertake any relevant training as directed by the Board

 

Key Performance Indicators
● Provide coaching development and learning opportunities to retain and recruit new coaches
● Management of conflict, queries and complaints are effectively handled and escalated as required

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements
● Intermediate Level Coach (or higher)
● Hold a current blue card or be able to obtain
