Job Title: Member Development Coordinator

Term of Role: 12 month initially, further 12 months by Board renewal approval
This position has the primary role of leading the development of the Associations Players and Coaches.
The position works closely with members and other key stakeholders and as such requires a high level of customer service.
This position works within the budgetary requirements as set by the Board each year and operates in a manner which achieves the goals set by UPNA Board.
Responsibilities & Duties

Design and implement player development programs for UPNA and affiliated clubs​

Coordinate coaching clinics for players and coaches

Endeavour to increase accredited coaches within UPNA and set programs to improve coach education, discussing and outlining pathways for coaches.

Provide Mentorship, or Assist with connections for Coaches and Mentors.

In consultation with the Rep Coaching Coordinator provide UPNA Association team coaches with professional development

Assess development programs, coaching courses/workshops and provide reports and recommendations to the board

Prepare budgets and calendar of events for all development and coaching programs for the following year

Maintain a record of all coaches and their accreditation details for the association (club coaches)

Attend coaching development programs, courses or workshops of Netball QLD (or the like) as required, representing UPNA

Note players playing in a higher grade at the completion of each round of fixtures and ensure records for each team are amended after each match

Other duties from time to time as required by the Board, within the capabilities and capacity of the position.

Keep all members particulars confidential

Be familiar with Netball Queensland’s Calendar of Events and the Association Update

Attend at minimum 5 Club Fixtures to interact with coaches and Club coaching coordinators

Attend all operational role meetings
Key Performance Indicators
-
Increase the number of clinics for coaches and players (including NQ accreditation courses) held at UPNA (using variety of clinic provider individual and organisations).

Increased number of accreditations progressed (i.e. from nothing to foundation, foundation to development, development to Intermediate).

Increase the exposure of coaches to the representative program, and their consideration to nominate to coach at a Representative level

Minimum of Intermediate Level Coaching Accreditation

Essential experience
-
High level knowledge and understanding of coaching, grading, team selection, talent ID and player development

Strong and well developed written and verbal skills

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively problem solve and resolve conflict

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within teams
-
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
-
Relationships
This position reports direct to the UPNA Board and works along side other Operational Role holders. This position is highly customer service focused.
